Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data A Modelista receives through this website, what it is used for and what rights you have over it. It is short and describes what the website actually does.

Who is responsible

The data controller is A Modelista. For any question about your data, write to info@modelista.pt.

What we receive, and why

The website has no user accounts, newsletter, payments or visitor statistics. We only receive personal data when you contact us:

• Quote requests. The form sends nothing to a server: it opens your email program with a pre-filled message (name, email, country, garment type and project description), which only reaches us if you send it. We use this data to reply and prepare the quote.
• Email, phone or WhatsApp. If you contact us directly, we use what you send us, including sketches, photos or measurements, to reply and, if we go ahead, to do the work. WhatsApp messages go through the WhatsApp service (Meta), which has its own privacy policy.
• Accepted work. If you accept a quote, we process the data needed to make, deliver and invoice the work, such as your name, shipping address and tax number for the invoice.

Legal basis

We process this data to answer your request before a contract and to perform the contract once you accept a quote (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to meet legal obligations such as tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

How long we keep it

Requests that do not go ahead are deleted once they are no longer needed to reply to you. Data about completed work is kept for the period that tax and accounting law requires for invoicing records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or pass on your data for marketing. We use providers that process it on our behalf and only for these purposes: the email service where we receive messages, the website hosting and, for physical shipments, the courier, which receives the delivery name and address. If you write to us on WhatsApp, the conversation is also handled by WhatsApp.

Website server logs

As with any website, the hosting server may log technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) for security and operation. We do not use these logs to identify you or to build profiles.

Cookies

The website uses no cookies and no tracking. The details are in the Cookie Policy.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and portability by writing to info@modelista.pt. We reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
